A year at All Dunn Up
Can you believe we only have a few days left before we say goodbye to 2018. What a year it has been, there have been many highlights in the millinery calendar such as two Royal weddings, Kentucky Derby, Royal Ascot to name to a few. As we close the year I thought it would be a perfect time to reflect on 2018 at All Dunn Up.
The year started by attending a millinery course with Holly Young Millinery in Cornwall. This was a lovely day, where I learnt to work with a new fabric Buntal. Holly was the lady that inspired me to become a milliner, when I saw her on TV, so it was lovely to meet her in person.
In March my new website was launched, created by GFive Designs. I love it and without the enthusiasm and encouragement from Frank and Nicki at GFive the website wouldn’t be what it is today.
At the end of April I was excited to announce that I had been asked to create a hat for the ITV show ‘The Keith and Paddy Picture Show’. The hat was worn by Keith Lemon, when he stared in the Pretty Woman sketch as Vivienne.
Many All Dunn Up creations have made an appearance at various events throughout the year. Such as:
- various weddings throughout the world
- Great horse racing events, such as Kentucky Derby and Royal Ascot
- Buckingham Palace, OBE ceremony
- ITV News and ‘The Keith and Paddy Picture Show
I love to see photos of clients all dressed up in their finery and here are a few of my customers
I have also attended many local shows, to showcase my hats and fascinators. This has been a perfect time to meet potential customers and introduce myself to them.
Recently I have enrolled onto another millinery course with London Milliner Katherine Elizabeth. In 2019 there will be new designs, with new materials and techniques being used. So watch this space, exciting things will be happening!
On ending I would like to say a massive thank you to you all for your continued support. Without you All Dunn Up would not be where it is today.
